Majesty Palms are grown in sunshine that is indirect. Locate them close to a window where they can get filtered sunlight in a number of hours daily. Direct and rough sunlight should be avoided as it may scald the leaves making them brown. They can withstand moderate light conditions, although they may grow more slowly, when there is a lack of natural light. Periodic rotations can be done to maintain even growth of the plant and to avoid it bending towards the source of light.
